French Lick Springs Resort, is a Resort, 45 hole golf facility located in French Lick, Indiana. The facility has two - 18 hole golf courses and one - 9 hole golf course. The 18-hole courses are The Pete Dye Course and The Donald Ross Course. The 9-hole course is The Valley Links Course.
The Pete Dye Course at French Lick Resort first opened for play in 2009. The course was designed by Pete Dye.
The Dye Course at French Lick might arguably be better named The Dye Challenge. The 40-mile panoramic views of the countryside in all directions and beautiful and varied holes should not make you forget what you are facing. This is an exceedingly long course. Take just the closing 3 holes, for example: #16, a 301-yard par-3, 317, a 518-yard par-4, and #18, a 657-yard par-5.
The key to enjoying the Pete Dye Course at French Lick is to select the set of tees that best suits your game. No one should play the gold tees unless your handicap is 5 or less; black tees 10 or less, blue tees 15 or less, white tees 25 or less. If you do not consistently hit 95 or better, play the red tees and you too will enjoy this wonderful course.
